How often do you think about your body when it isnโt related to how much you weigh or what you look like? Body positivity involves more than just accepting our bodies as they are right now. It's also about accepting that our bodies are designed to change shape, size, and age. Your body does wonderful things for you every day, such as breathing, eating, walking, dancing, smiling, and much more.
Build a positive body image to show your respect for your body. A good body image might help you avoid negative ideas about yourself that compare you to others. Here are some of our infographics to help men and women to develop a positive relationship with your body:

We need to come to a point where we value our bodies as much as we value any other possession. Body neutrality refers to having a neutral relationship with one's own body. It's a way of accepting something without noticing or developing an opinion about it. It indicates that there is no good or bad, and that we should not feel good or awful about our bodies. It is the realization that your worth has nothing to do with how you look.
We are here to remind you that Itโs okay. This is why we're alive, and this is how it feels to be human. Knowing you're not alone makes it a little easier to let the difficult moments happen.

Have you ever considered how frequently we are told to alter our appearance? Magazines constantly offer advice on how to lose weight "in days," look slimmer "instantly," and hide our "imperfections"... without knowing anything about us, let alone our physical appearance.
Messages from the media and from each other often imply that we should want to change, that we should care about looking slimmer, smaller, and tanner. If we don't, we're worried that we'll be the focus of someone else's body-shaming remarks.
Making the decision to stop participating in body shaming and, in doing so, creating a better future for us all takes courage. My last question is this: do you have the courage? And my final request: please search https://rebrand.ly/rockyourcurves and learn more about our mission so you could take part in our advocacy.

In a culture where so much emphasis is placed on what is wrong with us and needs improvement, it can feel like a huge challenge to speak positively about our own bodies. Doing so, however, is a healthy thing to do, and it also saves other people from harm.
It may be socially acceptable for people to mock and body-shame others, but you do not have to accept, participate in, or tolerate such words or actions. You wouldn't want that to be done to you, and now you know that it can cause real problems for those it happens to.
By practicing speaking positively about ourselves and our bodies, and noticing qualities about ourselves and others that we like and appreciate, we can deepen our care, compassion, and connection with others and with ourselves.

For decades, society has considered particular body kinds and sizes to be the most acceptable. Messages about what is considered an attractive or proper body type and size can be harmful to many people who do not fit these specific criteria. These expectations can lead to mental health issues, body dissatisfaction, and harmful eating and exercise habits.
So, to encourage you to look in the mirror and remember that you're perfect just the way you are, we've created this playlist of songs that emphasize body positivity, self-confidence, and self-love. โจ

Every body, regardless of size, shape, or color, is attractive. Sounds pretty simple, right? But body positivity isn't always easy to practice. It requires letting go of society's prejudices of what is and isn't attractive. And it means accepting and loving every aspect of yourself, including any perceived flaws.โจ
That being said, we'd like to introduce you to 4 remarkable women who have shared their stories and how they cope up to develop healthy relationships with their bodies and are passionate about encouraging the rest of us to do the same.

One of the major goals of body positivity is to address some of the ways that body image influences mental health and well-being. Such acceptance may then help combat the toll that poor body image has on mental and physical health.
Itโs ok to admit that you donโt necessarily love everything about your body. Itโs ok to feel neutral or even indifferent about your body. Your worth and value do not lie in your shape or your size or in any other aspect of your appearance. Body image does play a part in self-concept, but it isnโt everything.
There will be moments when you feel weak, when you dislike aspects of yourself, and when you compare yourself to others. The key is to keep trying to find new ways to avoid the negative thought patterns that contribute to poor body image.

Learning to value other individuals for more than their appearance is an important part of developing a healthier relationship with your body. When you give someone or yourselves a compliment, begin to look beyond the appearance. This is to remind everyone to start being kind to your body and give it the respect it deserve. It is completely okay to feel a sense of neutrality toward your appearance because you are more beautiful than you think.
