Leaning heavily on renewed cravings for local menus, LGU Bugasong, in consonance with the CSC Anniversary Celebration, sponsored a Culinary Competition exclusively featuring local menus and dishes.

This gastronomic event, today, Sep. 23, 2026, aims to preserve and promote traditional cooking as it revives the food culture of Bugasong.

With the end goal of positioning Bugasong as the Food Hub in the province, featuring locally distinct food, El Sabor de Bugasong is truly Bugasong’s tasty tradition.

LGU Bugasong joins International Coastal Cleanup Day

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: Joined by Bugasong Fisherfolks from seven coastal barangays, personnel from MENRO, MAO and partner agency like Philippine Coast Guard Bugasong Sub-Station, the municipal government joined the International Coastal Cleanup Day, today, Sep. 19.

The world needs hand to facilitate and make our coastal community clean – transforming our shorelines into a thriving, safe environment.

This activity underscores the administration’s mission in protecting marine life and ecosystems by removing harmful trash before it breaks down into toxic microplastics or traps sea animals, observed every third Saturday of September in the Philippines under Presidential Proclamation No. 470.

Under these rules, the release, disbursement, or expenditure of public funds for covered social welfare and services projects is prohibited from 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, unless otherwise authorized by the COMELEC.

Since the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, its disbursement is covered by the applicable election-related restrictions. In keeping with our commitment to proper, transparent, and lawful implementation of the program, the Province will observe the prescribed prohibition.

𝗧𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

The OPYDO will continue to monitor the applicable COMELEC regulations and will issue an official announcement𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 once the prohibition period has ended and the program may legally proceed.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Bugasong Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Antique Police Provincial Office (ANPPO), held a campaign against loose fi****ms and the implementation of Project RTT 3389 (Restrict, Track, and Turn-in), dubbed as 𝘌𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺𝘢𝘩𝘪 𝘴𝘪 𝘗𝘋, today, Sep. 17.

RTT 3389 refers to the 3,389 barangays across Western Visayas and encourages local chief executives, barangay officials, and residents to voluntarily surrender or facilitate the proper turnover of at least one loose fi***rm per barangay; it aims to prevent violent crimes and enhance community safety by accounting for and removing illegal or undocumented weapons from circulation.

PCPT ALFONSO C PRECIA, OIC of Bugasong MPS, welcomed everyone to the undertaking, namely PCOL RYAN A DEVARAS, Provincial Director, Antique PPO, municipal and barangay officials. Furthering his message, Precia also presented the peace and order situation in the municipality, highlighting valuable information on crime incidents encompassing peace and order indicators and public safety indicators.

PCOL RYAN A DEVARAS took center stage for his message and called for Barangay-PNP cooperation, followed by the presentation of fi****ms and a Pledge of Support and Commitment by the barangay officials and force multipliers like civil society organizations (CSOs).

Also present to grace the event were Mayor Victor R. Condez and SB Member Greg R. Togonon.
