WEATHER UPDATE: Typhoon Odette maintains its strength as it moves westward towards the Caraga-Eastern Visayas area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Wednesday (Dec. 15).

In its 8:00 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Odette was last located at 535 kilometers east of Surigao City in Surigao del Norte, or 445 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
