OFW IN CANADA GIFTED WITH MILLION-DOLLAR HOUSE BY EMPLOYER

Rebecca Cruz, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and nanny in Canada, received a life-changing gift from her employer—a million-Canadian dollar (PHP 40 million) house. Rebecca has cared for the Griffiths family’s children for six years, earning their deep trust and affection.

In an interview, Rebecca shared, “Lahat ng pag-aalaga ng bata—nagpapadede, nagpapatulog, nagpapalit ng diaper—lahat na po iyon ginagawa ko…” She added how she stayed by the children’s side, “Hindi ako nakakaalis ng bahay hanggang hindi sila nakakatulog.”

Joanna Griffiths, Rebecca’s employer and founder of the Canadian brand Knix, revealed how Rebecca’s support was crucial to her success. “I went down to the kitchen and asked Rebecca what she wanted, and she said her dream was to have a house. And I said, ‘Let’s do it.’”

Rebecca expressed her gratitude and loyalty: “Puwede na po akong mag-retire na hindi ko iniisip kung may babayaran pa ako… I will stay loyal to them, I will love their kids. Hanggang gusto nila ako, I will stay with them.”
