💉 Types of injections explained

Intramuscular (IM)
Inserted at 90° to deliver medication deep into the muscle, allowing relatively fast absorption due to rich blood supply.

Subcutaneous (SC)
Inserted at about 45° into the subcutaneous fatty layer beneath the skin, providing slower and more controlled absorption.

Intravenous (IV)
Inserted at a shallow angle (around 15–30°) directly into a vein, allowing immediate delivery into the bloodstream.

Intradermal (ID)
