KITKAT CALLED OUT FOR ‘SHAMING’ MOTHER-IN-LAW ONLINE

COMEDIAN KitKat found herself in hot water after posting on social media about a pasalubong from her mother-in-law that she believed was already expired, prompting a public response from her brother-in-law, celebrity chef Jeremy Favia.

In her post, KitKat said the food item, which she claimed came from China, carried a December 2025 expiration date.

Favia later came to the defense of his mother, accusing KitKat of publicly shaming her for attention.

“Pangalanan mo kasi SORAYA BAÑAS a.k.a. ‘KITKAT.’ Nanay namin yan ni kuya Walby. Na lola ng anak mo… This is not the first time na pinahiya mo si mama. Enough is enough. You do this for clout. I do this for MAMA,” Favia said.

The case generated significant public discussion online, with many criticizing Salvador's actions and the perceived small amount of the unpaid wages.

In December 2023, actress Yassi Pressman was featured on the public service program Raffy Tulfo in Action after a Grab driver, Raymart Guinto, sought help regarding a car accident involving her former driver.
Incident Details
The Accident: On November 21, 2023, a vehicle owned by Pressman (driven by her then-employee) collided with Guinto's car in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
The Complaint: Guinto approached Senator Raffy Tulfo's program because he was unable to contact Pressman's driver for 11 days following the incident, causing him to lose his daily income.
The Resolution: Upon being contacted by the show, Pressman immediately took responsibility. She clarified that she was unaware her former driver had not yet settled the matter.
Settlement
Pressman provided a total of ₱100,000 to the driver:
₱75,000 for the vehicle repairs.
