The 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗙𝗕𝗦𝗘) Seminar, conducted by 𝗗𝗢𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮, was successfully held on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 & 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮. The seminar aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in delivering excellent service rooted in genuine Filipino hospitality.

The program started with the 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, followed by the 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆, which included the 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, and 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗛𝘆𝗺𝗻 led by 𝗗𝗢𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮. The participants were warmly welcomed through the 𝗔𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘀, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, and the 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝘆 𝗣. 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼, 𝗣𝗵𝗗. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 were also delivered by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗗. 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗿. 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗚. 𝗠𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 highlighting the importance of service excellence in the tourism and hospitality industry. The 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 were then 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗩. 𝗥𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻.

The learning sessions were facilitated by the 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔. 𝗝𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮, who provided valuable insights through several modules. These included topics such as 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆. In the afternoon session, discussion continued with 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟳𝗠𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 and their 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 and 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚.𝗨.𝗘.𝗦.𝗧. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟱𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛.𝗘.𝗔.𝗥.𝗧. 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆, which emphasized effective ways to handle complaints and improve service delivery.

The seminar concluded with a 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, followed by 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 and impressions from the participants. Certificates were then awarded to the participants and the resource speaker by 𝗗𝗢𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮. An 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 was delivered by the 𝗕𝗦𝗛𝗠 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗝𝗵𝗼𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗼, 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘇, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗮, expressing gratitude for the valuable knowledge shared during the seminar. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! || 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Project HEAL (Health, Environment, Assistance, and Livelihood) is an outreach initiative of the Hospitality Management Department of Isabela College of Arts &Technology (ICAT) that aims to promote community well-being through education and service. As part of its continuing commitment to social responsibility, the department conducted a Health Awareness Seminar for the residents of Barangay Tagaran, Cauayan City. Before the official start of the program, an opening prayer was led by Ms. Vanessa GlycelBallesteros, Vice Governor of the HM Society, followed by an intermission number performed by Mr. Isidro G. Revilla, the Business Manager of the HM Society. This was then followed by the opening remarks delivered by Barangay Captain Benjie Balauag, with the assistance of Secretary Bernie, who expressed his gratitude to ICAT for conducting the seminar in their community. The activity was designed to increase awareness of proper health practices and to encourage individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles for themselves and their families.

The Health Awareness Seminar was successfully conducted through the active participation of students, faculty members, and community residents. The seminar was led by Ma’am Mary Jane Yadao, who shared important information about health awareness, disease prevention, and the importance of maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. She also discussed practical tips on nutrition, hygiene, and daily habits that promote both physical and mental well-being. Her clear explanations and engaging delivery made the session educational, meaningful, and enjoyable for the participants.

After the seminar proper, the organizers provided drinks and snacks to the participants as a gesture of appreciation. The HM Society Officers actively assisted in distributing the refreshments, ensuring that everyone was served properly and comfortably. This simple yet thoughtful gesture helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere and allowed the participants to further interact and share their thoughts about the seminar.
The residents of Barangay Tagaran showed great interest and enthusiasm throughout the activity. They actively listened, asked questions, and shared their own experiences related to health and wellness. This positive interaction created a welcoming learning environment that strengthened the connection between the ICAT Hospitality Management Department and the community.

The success of the activity was made possible through the combined efforts of the HM Society Officers and the guidance of Ma’am Valerie Ruiz (CESO), Ma’am Diana-Vi Gacula (HM Society Adviser), Ma’am Michelle Umapas (Program Head), Sir Jan Mark Juan (COSA), and Property Officers Sir Kim Domingo and Sir Jim Domingo.

In conclusion, the Health Awareness Seminar under Project HEAL was a meaningful and successful outreach activity. It not only provided valuable health information but also strengthened community relationships and promoted a culture of care, cooperation, and responsibility. Through teamwork, dedication, and service, Project HEAL continues to make a positive impact on the lives of the people it serves.

In line with the final laboratory and in the spirit of gratitude and reflection, the 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗦𝗛𝗠 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 gathered for their 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗻—a special occasion to celebrate their accomplishments and the friendships, guidance, and experiences that have shaped their journey.

The room was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and a sense of togetherness, reflecting the bonds formed over years of learning and collaboration. Faculty members, mentors, and peers who have guided and supported them were acknowledged, highlighting the collective effort behind each achievement.

Beyond the meal, the luncheon embodied the essence of hospitality and the beauty of giving thanks. It served as a heartfelt reminder that every step of their journey is made richer by the people who walk alongside them, and that gratitude and reflection are as important as the milestones themselves.
