SKIN PURGING is the process when skin pushes everything at the surface such as white heads, blackheads, acne as well ๐
What causes skin purging?
Certain active ingredients such as retinoids, acids, chemical exfoliants, acne medication.
Some skin treatments can also make skin purge such as microdermabrasion, peelings, hydrafacials and lasers โก๏ธ
Skin purging is very common, apparently 25% of people will purge. Purging is real and it happens to most acne prone skins ๐
Skin purging can last anywhere from 4-6-8 weeks. It is part of the acne journey and you will get through it! ๐ช๐ป
Skin purging usually happens on the areas of your face where you usually get pimples, blackheads, oiliness.
