In celebration of Earth Hour 2025, we are taking a bold step towards sustainability, energy independence, and environmental conservation by empowering the fisheries of Balamban with solar energy solutions! 🌊⚡

For many coastal communities, access to reliable and affordable energy is a challenge. Fisherfolk often rely on traditional fuel sources for lighting, equipment, and storage, which can be costly and harmful to the environment. Through this initiative, we aim to bridge the gap by equipping Balamban’s fishing sector with solar-powered systems offering them a cleaner, more cost-effective, and long-term energy solution to support their daily operations.

This hands-on workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to build their own solar power systems, helping them power boats, fish storage facilities, and essential equipment with renewable energy. By harnessing the power of the sun, we can help strengthen livelihoods, protect marine resources, and promote sustainable fishing practices.

We are thrilled to announce that Rtr. Leo Angelo Yu and Rtr. Kim Irish Placibe of the Rotaract Club of Cebu 3rd District will be representing District 3860 at the highly anticipated Mister and Miss Rotaract Philippines 2025 in Manila this coming February 21, 2025!

This isn’t just a pageant. It’s a platform for Leo and Kim to showcase the power of youth leadership, the heart of service, and the passion we, as Rotaractors, pour into creating positive change in our communities.
