SOS Children's Village Cebu just wrapped up two days of training that many of the staff are calling one of the most meaningful they have attended. A special thank you to our partner, Herbalife, for supporting an initiative that invests in the hearts and hands caring for our children.

The training brought together caregivers, social workers, and village staff for an in-depth program covering Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP), Understanding Adolescent Mental Health, and Care for the Carers.

For people who show up every day to be that steady, caring presence in a child's life, the training doesn't just build skills. It deepens purpose.

The sessions were led by Village Director D**g Baang, Ms. Rose Marie C. Gonato, M.A., RPsy, and the village's Social Workers — each bringing expertise that was as practical as it was personal.

At SOS Children's Village Cebu, caring for the carers is not an afterthought; it is central to the mission.

We give our best when we are at our best. And the training was a reminder that caring for ourselves is part of caring for others.
