Glow Up Time: Switching from Rebonded to Natural Hair🌸
1. Accept the Transition
Wag mag-expect ng perfect curls day 1. The goal is healthy hair first, then shape and definition later.
⸻
2. What You NEED to BUY (Basic Starter Kit)
Pwede namn kahit mura lang basta tama and hiyang sa hair and scalp mo.
>Gentle, Sulfate-Free Shampoo
• Para di ma-dry ang buhok.
• Gamit lang 1–2x a week.
>Moisturizing Conditioner
• Para ma-soften ang dry/damage from rebonding.
• Use every wash day.
>Deep Conditioner / Hair Mask
• The MOST important item for transitioning hair.
• Helps heal dry and brittle hair.
• Use once or twice a week.
>Leave-in Conditioner (optional)
• To add moisture.
• Daily or every wash day.
>Curl Cream / Curl Defining Cream
• Helps your natural texture come out.
• Unti-unti mong makikita ang curl pattern.
>Wide-Tooth Comb or Detangling Brush
• NO more fine combs to lessen hair
>Microfiber Towel
• Wag gamitin ang mga harsh na towel please.
⸻
3. What You Need to DO
✔ Stop Rebonding or Any Heat Styling
Last rebond na yun. Let your roots grow naturally.
✔ Do not wash or shampoo everyday. Nakaka dry lalo, they strip off your natural oils.
✔ Trim the Damaged Ends Little by Little
Pwede micro trimming monthly para slow but sure.
✔ Moisture, Moisture, Moisture
Rebonded hair = dry.
Natural curls = need hydration.
So, conditioners & deep conditioners are your best friends.
✔ Learn Basic Styling (Wash Day Routine)
Simple lang:
1. Shampoo (optional)
2. Condition (deep conditioner)
3. Rinse
4. Apply curl cream(wag muna gel if start pa)
5. Scrunch
6. Air dry or diffuser
✔ Sleep with Care
• Use satin bonnet or satin pillowcase.
⸻
4. Results to Expect
• First 1–3 months: maghalo ang tuwid + wavy/curl roots (awkward stage).
• 6 months: clearer curl pattern.
• 1 year: more defined texture coz longer na ang new growth.
• Mas lalong gaganda or maba bounce and define if na cut na lahat ng rebonded parts.
Good luck, curlfriend!🫶
