In accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, the month of March is officially observed as Fire Prevention Month due to the notable increase in fire incidents nationwide during this period.

In the Philippines (March) centers on the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa” (In Fire Prevention, You Are Not Alone), emphasizing shared responsibility between the Bureau of Fire Protection and the public to prevent rising fire incidents during the dry season. Key advocacies include regular electrical inspections, proper LPG maintenance, and implementing household escape plans.

This southeastern gem of Luzon isn’t just known for its Mayon Volcano or pristine beaches—it’s a haven for those craving bold, creamy, and spicy flavours. Moreover, each province has its take on pasalubong, offering treasures far beyond the usual treats.

Laing: Dried taro leaves, best served if simmered in coconut milk with pork, shrimp, and labuyo chili.

Pancit Bato: Originated from Camarines Sur, sun-dried noodles stir-fried and tastes better with vegetables and meat.

Pili Nuts or Pili Tart: Famous for being sweetened, roasted, caramelized, or glazed.

Dinailan: It is a type of fish paste or shrimp paste. It is made from dried and compacted silt by-product of "balaw" (salted tiny shrimp).

Formosa Pineapples: Also known as Queen pineapples and often called "baby pineapples," are a small, exceptionally sweet, and aromatic variety primarily grown in Camarines Norte, Philippines. They are prized for their crisp, less-fibrous yellow flesh, high sucrose content, and low acidity.

Sapsap: An affordable, and savory dried fish (bulad) commonly found in the region. These small, silver, and naturally dried fish (ponyfish/slipmouth) become crunchy when fried, serving as a popular, salty, and convenient ingredient.

Bukayo: A Bicolano twist on the traditional sweet coconut treat, typically soft, sticky, and made with young coconut and caramelized sugar, sometimes wrapped in leaves.

Bicol delicacies and souvenirs are more than just treats—they are also cultural experiences. Each province brings its own flavour to the table, whether it is through food, tradition, or craftsmanship.

A a well-known landmark located inside the Barangay Matnog in the town of Basud, Camarines Norte.

It is not only a physical structure, but also serves as a center of local activity in the area. This serves the community to the devotees of the patron saint of the Holy Black Nazarene.

The Chapel is also known for having a Market Day EVERY FRIDAY. This is where local residents, tourists, and visitors gather to buy fresh produce and other necessities along the road.

The most enormous tree living inside the Barangay, Magang, along the Municipality of Daet, Camarines Norte. Standing at almost 55 meters stall with a range of 120 years old. Its scientific name is called “Dracontomelon Dao” Tree. May we also stand tall and strong no matter how many storms will blew us and how many earthquakes will shake us. To be still and firm yet beautiful and magical like the Centennial Dau Tree.

In significance to mental health, we embrace trees to connect with nature, reduce stress, and improve the holistic well-being. This practice is believed to promote relaxation, lower blood pressure, and release oxytocin levels in the body. We also hug trees as a symbolic gesture of environmental activism and conservation, since Earth Month is already approaching. (April)

Sacral Charging and Energy Cleansing (Bare Feet and Bare Hands) is our way of feeding our spiritual health. Meditating under the trees can help reduce anxiety, promote mindfulness, and provide a sense of peace and grounding.
