While removing the crashed Precision Air ATR 42-500 from Lake Victoria, the fuselage broke forward of the wings. The aircraft crashed on Sunday in Bukoba, Tanzania while trying to land in bad weather. UPDATE: At Least 19 Dead After Passenger Plane Crashes Into Lake in Tanzania. An ATR 42-500 operated by Tanzania's Precision Air has crashed into Lake Victoria as it was attempting to land in stormy conditions at Bukoba Airport. Flight PW 494 originated from Dar es Salaam and was carrying 39 passengers (38 adults and 1 infant) and 4 crew.
