CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM
The circulatory system is composed of the heart, blood, blood vessels, and lymphatics. It serves as the body's main delivery system—circulating blood and delivering oxygen and nutrients to every part of the body.

CIRCULATORY SYSTEM ORGANS, STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONS

Blood:
Red blood cells – transport oxygen through hemoglobin.
White blood cells – antibodies that deal with foreign materials like disease organisms.
Platelets – blood clotting.
Plasma and plasma proteins – carries foods and wastes from tissues.

Blood Vessels:
Arteries – carries blood away from the heart.
Capillaries – exchange of materials between blood and tissue cells.
Veins – carries blood towards the heart.

Heart:
Arch of the aorta – carries oxygenated blood to the rest of the body.
Abdominal aorta and thoracic aorta – supplies blood to the abdominal and thoracic area.
Inferior and superior vena cava – carries deoxygenated blood from the rest of the body.

INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM

The integumentary system consists of the skin, hair, nails, and sweat glands. It acts as a barrier protecting the body from the outside world, retaining body fluids, eliminating waste products, and regulating body temperature.

Skin layers and components
👉Epidermis – It is the upper layer of the skin. It consists of keratin and melanin.
👉Dermis – It is the lower, thicker part of the skin. It consists of blood vessels, sensory nerve endings and receptors, sebaceous glands, adipose cells, and tiny veins and arteries.

THE MUSCULAR SYSTEM

The Muscular System consists of muscle tissues. It helps transport materials throughout the body and is responsible for body movement.

💪 Types of Muscles

Skeletal Muscle – Voluntary muscles attached to the bones. They allow us to move our body consciously.

Smooth Muscle – Involuntary muscles found in hollow organs, such as the small intestines and blood vessels.

Cardiac Muscle – Involuntary muscles found in the heart. They continuously contract to pump blood throughout the body.

💪 Types of Muscle Injuries/Disorders

Fatigue-Induced Muscle Disorder – Can be caused by intense or prolonged muscle activity and may result in low-level muscle pain or discomfort.

Delayed-Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) – Usually occurs after a sudden change or increase in physical activity, such as exercising after a long period without exercise. The pain or soreness commonly lasts for 2–3 days.

Spine-Related Neuromuscular Disorder – Involves increased muscle tension associated with disorders affecting the spine or pelvis.

Muscle Related Neuromuscular Disorder - is an increase in the muscle tension due to weakness of other muscles nearby.

Minor Partial Tear - a tear in the muscle about 1 cm or less.

Moderate Partial Tear - a tear in the muscle ranging from 1.1- 3 cm.

Total Muscle Tear - complete separation of the fibers of the muscle.

Contusion - a damage in the tissue. It can be mild (bruise) or severe. It is caused by falling or jamming into a hard surface.
