Did you know that rabies is 100% preventable but almost always fatal once symptoms appear? Every year, thousands of people are exposed to rabies through dog, cat, and other animal bites. The good news is that prompt treatment can save lives.

If you or someone you know has been bitten, scratched, or exposed to saliva from an animal, do not ignore it. Immediate medical care is crucial.

⚠️ What to do right away:
✔ Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes
✔ Apply antiseptic if available
✔ Seek medical care immediately
