Attended the Climate Fresk few weeks ago and it put my feet back on the ground.

While many of my counterparts are already successful, expanding, scaling, and celebrating milestones, here I am — still struggling, still rebuilding, fighting for my life and my business.

But this workshop reminded me why I started in the first place.

We are not just after profits.
We are not just selling products.
We are shaping habits, influencing behavior, and choosing to do business responsibly even when it’s harder, slower, and less profitable.

Sitting there, absorbing the science behind climate change and global warming, I felt this weight: How can I focus on getting rich if the way we make products leaves so much plastic waste behind?
I can’t.

The Climate Fresk pulled me back to my core: why Mayumi Organics exists, why I keep going even while battling cancer, and why I choose the harder path: sustainability, transparency, and purpose.

Success will come.
But I refuse to win at the planet’s expense.

🎗️ Halfway Through Chemo 💪

Halfway there. Four rounds down, four more to go.
It hasn’t been easy — there were days when I felt weak, nauseous, and exhausted, but I kept showing up. For myself, for my family, for the people who believe in me.

This journey has taught me more about faith, resilience, and gratitude than I ever imagined. Every cycle feels like climbing a mountain, but each one also reminds me how far I’ve come.

To everyone praying for me, checking in, and supporting me through this — thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💖 Your love and encouragement fuel me more than you know.

To anyone going through something similar: take it one step, one treatment, one breath at a time. Healing may be slow, but it’s happening. 🌸

Halfway done, and still fighting. Still hopeful. Still me.

Last Saturday, despite feeling nauseous and having just vomited (as I just had my 3rd chemotherapy), I still drove to SM Bacoor to do the ingress for our Mayumi Organics booth.

I’m not posting this for sympathy — but to show the raw truth that entrepreneurs like me don’t stop just because we’re sick. We think about our responsibilities — to our clients, employees, bills, loans, and taxes.

That’s why I’m deeply thankful to everyone who continues to support Mayumi Organics. You keep us going. 💚

When Life Gets Real—Really Real

I never thought I’d be here writing this, but here we are.

As someone who makes shampoo and conditioner for a living, it’s painfully ironic to say…

I’m going to lose my hair. 💔

I’ve been diagnosed with Triple Positive Breast Cancer—a form that’s treatable but aggressive, and the road ahead will be tough. I’ll be undergoing treatments that will affect not only my body, but also our business.

You may have noticed we’ve been quiet on social media lately. That’s because we’ve been doing quiet, impactful work behind the scenes—braving the many difficulties of running a small business amidst personal, economic, and operational storms. We’ve kept going, even when it wasn’t easy.

This diagnosis isn’t just personal—it’s deeply intertwined with everything I’ve built. My family, my team, and this business are all depending on me to keep moving forward.

The truth is, the bills won’t stop just because I’m sick. Chemotherapy and healing come with a price—not just emotionally, but financially. That’s why I’m humbly asking for your continued support during this time. Every order, every kind word, and every share means more than you know.

This is a plot twist—not the ending.

And I’m still here, still fighting, still believing in the power of healing.
