The City health office conducted an awareness campaign in 3 NationalHIgh schools in Lamitan City. The acivity aims to increase students’ knowledge about STI, HIV, and AIDS, including transmission, prevention, and treatment. Promote healthy and responsible behaviors that reduce the risk of infection. Correct myths and misconceptions about HIV and STIs. Encourage early testing. Reduce stigma and discrimination toward people living with HIV. More importantly encouraging students to cultivate proactive health seeking behaviors thereby contributing to a more informed and health concious school community

Coordination Meeting, Ocular Inspection, and Intensified Dengue Prevention Activities

The Dengue and Sanitary Teams of the Lamitan City Health Office conducted coordination meetings and ocular inspections in Barangays Balobo, Bohe Yakan, Matibay, Bato, Malinis, and Malakas.
The activity brought together barangay officials, BHWs, and assigned midwives/nurses to strengthen the action plan for dengue prevention and containment.
Key interventions included intensified Search and Destroy activities, clean-up drives, and targeted spraying in puroks with confirmed dengue cases.
Ocular inspections were also conducted to identify potential mosquito breeding sites and ensure prompt implementation of appropriate dengue control measures.

The routine preventive dental services for our Child Development Centers (CDCs) in Lamitan continues and will continue to roll out!

Our team provided:
🪥 Oral health education
🦷 Supervised toothbrushing
💙 Fluoride application

We also distributed Oral Health Care Packages to pregnant mothers and infants aged 0–11 months.
