𝗕𝗨 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Bicol University – Daraga produced outstanding topnotchers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), securing high ranks in both the elementary and secondary levels.

In the elementary level, Catherine Monica Buan Lomerio and Rian Mary Jane Borromeo Pitero both placed third with an impressive 94.40% rating. Jeanylyn Barsaga Bilason ranked fifth with a 93.80% rating.

Arianne Marie Manjares Lisay, Lorena Ardales Llamera, and Ma. Lyka Olavario tied for eighth place, each posting an identical 93.20% rating. While Dawn Gomez Magtarayo rounded out the top 10, securing 10th place with a 92.80% rating.

In the secondary level, Rossie Lei Alemania Lita brought honor to the campus, ranking seventh with an excellent 93.80% rating.

The center of teaching excellence stays true to its name once again as BUCE brings home its newest set of teachers from the March 2026 Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers.

With flying colors, 𝟭𝟬𝟭 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝟭𝟳𝟵 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 from BUCE passed the examination.

This milestone places BU Daraga among the 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟𝗦 of this batch, claiming 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟱 (𝟵𝟲.𝟮𝟰%) in the 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 (100-299 examinees) and 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟭 (𝟵𝟲.𝟭𝟵%) in the 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 (min. of 100 examinees).

This, along with feats from other campuses such as the BU Legazpi, BU Tabaco, and BU Gubat makes up for a collective display of BUeño excellence.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Bicol University College of Education (BUCE) successfully held its RadianCE: 2026 BUCE Recognition Ceremony on May 7, 2026, at the BU East Campus, CENG Gymnasium. Parents, faculty members, and fellow students attended the event to witness the formal recognition of the awardees.

The ceremony honored the students for their academic excellence, leadership, and exemplary contributions to the college community. Awardees received certificates and medals in recognition of their dedication and perseverance throughout the Academic Year 2025-2026.

In response to the heavy ashfall brought by Mayon Volcano yesterday, Bicol University has just released the Office Memorandum no. 118, series of 2026; issuing the implementation of necessary measures for public safety, all of which are 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, May 4, 2026, until further notice.

As the main campus affected by the ashfall, 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 will transition to 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 tomorrow.

Also, 𝗔𝗟𝗟 students who are unable to attend face to face classes due to ashfall are 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱, and faculty members are expected to settle arrangements with consideration towards all who are affected.

Meanwhile, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 in other campuses who need to pass through the affected areas within the 3rd District of Albay are ordered to shift to a 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸-𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺-𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 (𝗪𝗙𝗛) arrangement, provided that university policies and requirements are observed.

Everyone is advised to take all necesssary measures to protect their health from the threats of the ashfall.

Pinapayuhan ang lahat na manatiling alerto, sundin ang mga health advisory, at gawin ang mga angkop na hakbang upang maprotektahan ang sarili at ang pamilya—lalo na ang mga bata, buntis, matatanda, at may karamdaman.

Ang ganitong uri ng aktibidad ay maaaring magdulot ng biglaang pagsabog, pagbuga ng lava, abo, at mga batong maaaring mapanganib sa kalusugan at kaligtasan.
Mahigpit na ipinapayo ang pagsunod sa mga abiso at direktiba ng mga kinauukulang ahensya, kabilang ang agarang paglikas kung kinakailangan at pag-iwas sa mga itinakdang danger zones. Ugaliing magsuot ng face mask upang makaiwas sa paglanghap ng abo, manatili sa loob ng bahay hangga’t maaari, at panatilihing handa ang mga emergency kit.
