It's never too late to build muscle and strength. If you're over 50 you should be lifting weights atleast 3x a week in order to maintain muscle mass and bone density. She's 52 and no one can tell that she's 52. She's in her best shape!

Are sweet potatoes unhealthy? NO. Are they high in GI? Depends. Sweet potatoes can be high, medium, or low in GI depending on how you cook and prepare them. Sweet potatoes have high GI of 81 scary right? You might think that eating sweet potatoes can make you fat or unhealthy. NO. Boiling sweet potatoes can make it medium to low in GI value depending on how long you boiled them. It retains more resistant starch, a type of fiber that have no impact on blood sugar levels while baking and roasting them destroy resistant starch and make them high in GI and on the other hand frying them makes them slightly lower in GI in the presence of fat but frying them peeled in veg oil makes them higher. Does it makes sense? Lol. The main take aways here is the GI in sweet potatoes varies based on the cooking method. Periodt. Di mo naman sila kakainin ng hilaw da baa 😅
