Dermnature, except for its glycerine-based soaps, uses the traditional cold process technique in soap production.
Cold-process soap making is the art of combining different plant oils and butters with lye at room temperature, allowing the saponification process (conversion of fat, oil or lipid into soap), to occur for several days.
The saponified soap is then cut into bars and left to cure for another 4-6 weeks. Only then is it ready for wrapping and boxing.
