Sliced Almond as replacement for our magnesium supplement

I won't be taking any Magnesium supplement these days because I'll be getting them directly from Almonds (the blanched/washed, peeled kind without anti-nutrient), which is more pleasurable than a tablet and 140g can already give you your daily Magnesium RDA of 400mg. πŸ˜‹

Magnesium is important in about 300+ biochemical reactions that occur in our body everyday. It is one of the most commonly neglected electrolyte that can help prevent cardiovascular risks, bone and even neuropsychological problems.

Make sure to have enough of it, together with Sodium (yes, SALT!) always. πŸ™‚

If you wish to have better health, start by improving your eating habits.

Optimizing your life can begin by eating the NATURAL DIET for humans, and that is a low-carbohydrate (LC), whole food, mixed animal and plant-based meals. Net carbs/sugar is limited to only 0-50g per day and the rest of the energy source will be coming from fats and proteins.

Ketogenic Diet is a strict LC subcategory and considered as a fast-mimicking diet composed of less than 20g of carbs per day and majority of the energy coming from fats, and only low to moderate amount of proteins, thus, leading to a modest weight loss effect. Limitation of sugar (& to some extent proteins), will lead to FAT loss because insulin won’t be there to stop the process.

However, if you have the tendency to indulge in sweets out of the blue, or if you are not mentally and psychologically prepared to stick to it, you are risking your health by consuming lots of fats that won’t be burned in your body because of the insulin spike from a high carb intake. That SUGAR will make sure those FATS will stay as is.

Don’t go to the battle unprepared. Learn first before deciding.
