3 Things to Remember During Tough Times

Talagang darating at darating sa trabaho at negosyo mo ang mga panahong mahirap at puno ng challenges. Hindi na tayo dapat magulat pa kapag may kumatok na problema sa buhay natin. It is to be expected dahil bahagi talaga iyan ng buhay. Gaya halimbawa ng bagyo. Hindi naman natin alam ang eksaktong araw kung kailan ito darating, pero alam na natin na dito sa Pilipinas, hindi bababa sa dalawampu ang mga bagyo na nararanasan natin taon-taon. Expected na iyan kaya dapat ay harapin natin ito ng may kahandaan. Ikaw, kumusta ka naman ngayon? May pinagdaraanan ka ba diyan sa inyong opisina?

When tough times hit you, tandaan mo ang mga sumusunod:

1) You are not alone. Kapag dumarating ang problema, madalas ang naiisip natin, wala tayong karamay at nag-iisa lang tayo. Pero pakiramdam lang iyan. Ang totoo, hindi tayo iniiwan ng Diyos kundi tayo ang lumalayo sa Kanya. Ang sabi sa Hebrews 13:5, "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Ang sinasabi dito, huwag nating mahalin ang pera kasi pwede iyang maubos at mawala. Pero ang Diyos, hindi Niya tayo iiwan. Hindi ka Niya pababayaan. Kung may problema man kayong hinaharap ngayon sa trabaho, tandaan mo, hindi ka nag-iisa.

2) You can do it. Walang pagsubok na ibinibigay sa atin ang Diyos na hindi natin kakayanin. Kung sa tingin mo'y di na kaya ng powers mo, ok lang yan, dahil walang hindi kakayanin ang kapangyarihan ng Diyos. You are stronger than you think you are if Christ is in you. Ang sabi nga sa Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Hindi lamang ito magandang quotation, this is truth that you can hold on to.

3) You've been prepared for such a time as this. Sa tuwing haharap ka sa pagsubok, tandaan mo na ang lahat ng nangyari sa iyo bago dumating ang problemang iyan ay paghahanda para mapagtagumpayan at malampasan mo iyan. Parang mga atleta na dumaan sa mahabang pag-eensayo bago lumahok sa isang competition, parang estudyante na pumasok sa eskwelahan at nagreview bago kumuha ng pagsusulit, ang araw-araw na ginagawa mo ay paghahanda para maging matatag tayo sa mga pagsubok ng buhay. When problem comes, ito'y dahil alam ng Diyos na handa ka na para dito.

Wala namang problemang madali. We need to go through tests and difficulties to make us stronger and better. Be thankful when God allows you to go through tough times because you'll have an opportunity to experience His presence, His strength and His victory.

Be Financially Independent.. Do not RELY on your children.
Plan for your future and retirement and only have children that you can afford.

Your Children will help you if they really want to (unconditionally).
Do not pressure or give an obligation to your children a responsibility that you yourself are not able to establish.
Let your children have the life that they deserve and do not expect anything in return.

While our children can help us, it should be done voluntarily and not as an obligation. By then, our children will have their own families to look after. We owe it to ourselves to maintain our DIGNITY despite sickness and old age.

As children, you do it out of gratitude not obligation...
As parents, you receive with gratitude rather than entitlement...
Stop the cycle. Stop this toxic Filipino culture.
As Elon Musk said: “My children didn’t choose to be born, I chose to have children. They owe me nothing, I owe them everything.”
