Life Cycle of A Pimple

For the most part, Pimples don’t just pop out of nowhere! They can start forming weeks (sometimes months) before you see a red bump errupt on your skin. It doesn't happen when you use a skincare product for 2-3 days.

Keep in mind, this is a general guide and NOT all pimples take this EXACT course. Sometimes a papule doesn’t turn into a pustule because maybe you use a certain product (like acne spot treatment / serum / toners) that help to calm the inflammation and dissolve skin cells like salicylic acid which helps kill bacteria.

What causes acne?
There are a number of factors that can contribute to the development and worsening of acne, but there are only 4 biological causes:
