What a gorgeous fragrance. Regal and opulent. Powdery, resinous, leathery, with floral nuances.

Top: Leather, Aldehydes and Bergamot

Middle: Iris, Rose, Immortelle, Tuberose and Orange Blossom

Base: Powdery Notes, Musk, Labdanum, French labdanum, Resins, Ambroxan and Vanilla.

Patricia de Nicolaï is a direct descendant of Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, making her a member of the esteemed Guerlain family and an integral part of perfume-making history. She is the great-granddaughter of Pierre Guerlain and, alongside her husband, founded her own perfume brand, Parfums de Nicolaï, in 1989, continuing a multi-generational legacy of perfumery. Patricia has created some of the best perfumes we know of today such as New York, Odalisque, Sacrebleu, etc. She definitely has the nose being blood-related to the Guerlains..my SOTD, her gorgeous Musc Intense.

To some, citrus notes can go sour on skin, luckily, Dolce Amalfi doesn't, at least on me. This sweet, tart, citrus, creamsicle of a fragrance is gorgeous. It is creamy as well. And if you pay close attention, there are some spices in the background making it more interesting and giving it a bit of a kick. Something you can wear all year round. Any fans of this?

Over the recent years there has been a surge of new niche brand launches. Some magnificent and some are just okay. Personally, I would consider Frederic Malle a top tier house as a whole. Their prestige, quality, composition and smell are top notch. Especially these matte cap bottles. My SOTD.

Armani was one of the first brands to release a "Privé" or "Exclusive" line in the designer game. I must say, almost all of the Armani Privé fragrances are great especially the older creations. Oud Royal is a balsamic, leathery, smoky, oud fragrance. None of the animalic nuances of oud. Wearable and definitely a head turner. My SOTD.
