Blowing out your soy wax candle feels natural,
but it’s not the best way to care for it.
When you blow out a scented candle, the wick bends and smoulders, causing wick mushrooming, excess smoke, and soot that can cling to the wax and candle vessel. It can also cause hot wax splatter.
Using a candle snuffer or placing the lid gently over the flame cuts off oxygen without smoke, keeping the wick clean and the wax smooth.
It’s a small ritual, but one that makes a noticeable difference in how your candle burns over time.
If you love candles, care for them slowly.
