"Maskne".
Mask acne is very common during this time of the COVID pandemic. Wearing mask for prolonged period of time increases sweating, changes the skin's natural pH, increases concentration of bacteria eventually leading to acne break-outs and even contact dermatitis. What should we do? Ask your dependable dermatologists of the Philippine Dermatological Society!

Guide on how to send photos of your lesions in teledermatology.
1. Please send clear photos with good megapixel and natural lighting without shadows and filters.
2. Show all representative pictures showing in which part of the body the lesions are located. In dermatology, the location and distribution of the lesions are very important factors in diagnosis.
3. Remove all accessories when taking pictures.
4. You can blur sensitive areas for privacy unless those areas are where the lesions are located.
5. It is best to send pictures as a whole, in medium range and zoomed.
