Started playing pickleball last December because of random invites… ngayon, napapasama na sa podium photos. 🥹
I began joining tournaments this March not because I’m obsessed with winning, but because I genuinely enjoy the game and the people in it. Sometimes, I even join just to support organizers who work hard for these events (like in HRMS). 🤍
May mga nagsasabi na lagi raw nila akong nakikita sa tournaments. Honestly, I take it as a compliment. At least I’m out here doing something that makes me feel alive instead of staying stuck in routine. ✨
The world is already stressful enough. Ang dami nang ingay, pressure, at negativity sa paligid… so if we finally found a sport, a community, or a space that helps us breathe and reminds us that we’re actually living, not just existing, I hope we protect that. 😍
I pray that we continue building a community that supports each other and chooses kindness over negativity. I celebrate other people’s wins too because at the end of the day, the ball is round, losses are part of the game, and we all take turns learning, winning, and growing. 🫶🏽
And of course, shoutout to my ever supportive husband. 🤍 You knew everything I’ve been through before, during, and after every tournamen, the trainings, kaba, losses, wins, and all the podium moments in between. Thank you for being there through it all.

What was supposed to be one of the most memorable weekends at the CamSur Pickleball Kaogma Open 2026 turned into a nightmare. I never imagined feeling 10 years older over just one weekend because of the stress and disappointment caused by the tournament’s THIRD-PARTY organizer.
One of the biggest issues was the organizers allowing their own players to compete in the Intermediate Women’s category despite obvious sandbagging concerns. This isn’t just based on my personal experience. Many players from different parts of the country were also frustrated and disappointed with how things were handled.
Several players were protested for sandbagging, yet the organizers refused to disqualify them immediately. On the first day, we were told that a resolution would be announced, but everyone waited until the next morning with no clear decision. They later said they would post the final list of players by 3 PM, but that deadline passed without any announcement.
The changing decisions made the situation even more frustrating. After a meeting between the club leaders and the organizing team, they first announced that the category would be dissolved with no refund. Later, they changed it and said the two remaining teams would still play for the championship. Finally, they changed the decision again and announced that the category would be dissolved with refunds instead.
Players were left confused, frustrated, and dissatisfied because of the lack of organization and the constant changes in guidelines on the spot. There were honestly too many issues to mention.
Players traveled far, spent money, and trained for weeks. We deserved a fair, organized, and properly managed tournament experience.
We deserve better than this. We love pickleball and the community behind it, but we also deserve tournaments that are fair, honest, transparent, and professionally handled.
It’s disappointing to see an event supported by taxpayers’ money end up being poorly managed and unprepared for concerns that should have been addressed properly from the beginning.
Hopefully, this experience becomes a lesson for future tournaments — that proper organization, fair play, transparency, and respect for players should always come first.
Praying that may the Lord guide and bless the organizers to handle and conduct future tournaments with better leadership, and a stronger pickleball community moving forward.
PS. From competitors to chikahan after the game😆
Pickleball really brings people together.
