HOLIDAY ADVISORY | AUGUST 26, 2026

August 26, 2026 (Wednesday) is declared a Muslim Legal Holiday in observance of Mauluddin Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 1083, or the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos – Region 9, through Regional Director Rhoaisa Matolo-Mukaram, JD, confirmed that the holiday will be observed in Zamboanga del Sur and other designated Muslim provinces and cities across the region.

The observance covers the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga del Norte, as well as the cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian, and Zamboanga City.

This holiday comes alongside the other nationwide holidays in August: Ninoy Aquino Day on August 21 (Friday) and National Heroes’ Day on August 31 (Monday), pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, series of 2025, issued by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Poblacion, Kumalarang sa mainiton nga pagdawat, suporta ug pag-host sa atong unang Mobile Meeting. Salamat sa inyong hospitality ug pagpakita nga kanunay andam ang barangay nga mosuporta sa kalig-on ug kalamboan sa mga kababayen-an. 🙏❤️

Among ipadayag usab ang among dakong pasalamat sa Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, ubos sa liderato ni Governor Divina Grace C. Yu, sa walay hunong nga suporta ug pagtagad sa mga programa, panginahanglan ug empowerment sa atong mga KALIPI-RIC Women’s Associations. 💜
