In line with the Breastfeeding Month Celebration 2023, the Municipal Nutrition Office facilitated by Municipal Nutrition Action Officer-Designate, Lovelyn O. Nuñez,RN; with the support of the Local Government of Palompon, led by Municipal Mayor Ramon Chu Oñate; Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Lemuel Jay V. Amescua; DOH Representative, Mae Analyne P. Marquez,RN initiated the organization of Breastfeeding Support Group.

Breastfeeding guarantees food and fluid security in infants for the first six months and provides active immune protection and remains a significant source of energy, nutrients and protection up to two years and beyond .

The goals of breastfeeding education are to increase mothers' knowledge and skills, help them view breastfeeding as normal, and help them develop positive attitudes toward breastfeeding. depending on their stage of pregnancy and past experience.
