The Project USWAG TRIBO team successfully conducted a coordinative meeting with the Brgy. Council of Brgy. Lower Panaga, Panabo City to strengthen collaboration and finalize preparations for the upcoming activities of the program.
Present during the meeting were Brgy. Captain Renato Guardiano, Brgy. IPMR Datu Florencio Latimbang, Councilor Rodrigo Florito, Project Leader Nolie Guadalquiver Jr., together with team members Sir Ariel C. Balio Jr., Sir Roben Adjadan, and Maam Kimberly Ann Solano. The meeting served as a venue for aligning roles, responsibilities, and implementation strategies to ensure the smooth and meaningful conduct of the upcoming initiatives.
Key matters discussed included the scheduling and preparations for the first activity, PROJECT USWAG TRIBO: Organization and Empowerment of the Tribe on May 30, 2026, and the second activity, PROJECT USWAG TRIBO: Capacity Building and Leadership Training on June 06, 2026. Both activities aim to strengthen organizational structure, empower community leadership, and enhance the skills and capabilities of the tribal members.
Through this coordination, the project reinforces its commitment to inclusive development, participatory governance, and sustainable community empowerment in Brgy. Lower Panaga.

USWAG TRIBO Phase 5 once again highlighted the strength of the ITED community as it came together to serve Barangay Lower Panaga, Panabo City with purpose and passion. Through the guidance of dedicated faculty and the active involvement of student leaders, the activity featured meaningful learning experiencesโfrom health and safety reminders to practical livelihood demonstrationsโdesigned to empower community members with skills they can apply in their daily lives.
As the culminating phase of this yearโs Uswag Tribu initiatives, Phase 5 reflects the true spirit of collaboration, learning, and service. The combined efforts of mentors, students, and partners transformed shared knowledge into real impact, strengthening community ties and reinforcing ITEDโs commitment to sustained growth, empowerment, and service as the program moves forward to its next chapter.

USWAG TRIBO Phase 4 strengthens community empowerment in Barangay Lower Panaga through a holistic approach to organization, health education, and livelihood development. Faculty extensionists took the lead in teaching community organizing, basic first aid, and health literacy, while partnerships with PESO opened livelihood opportunities through rug-making trainings for economic growth. Anchored on sustainability, the program also provided in-kind training materials and established a Material Recovery Facility, reinforcing responsible waste management and long-term community resilience.

USWAG TRIBO Phase 3 highlights our continued commitment to teaching IP women essential skills in health literacy and livelihood development, strengthening both well-being and economic resilience in Barangay Lower Panaga. Through guided lessons on hygiene, water and sanitation, proper waste disposal, and hands-on livelihood trainings, women were equipped with knowledge they can practice daily and transform into sustainable income opportunities. In partnership with DNSC, LGU Panabo, NCIP, and community leaders, this phase reflects collaboration, shared responsibility, and empowerment in action.
As the journey continues, USWAG TRIBO moves forward with the same purpose, bringing health education to life and enabling IP women to build healthier homes and more sustainable futures.
