THE JOURNEY OF HER LIPS: DARK LIPS NEUTRALIZATION & LIP TATTOO

Let’s take a look at her lip transformation, from dark and pigmented lips to beautifully neutralized lips, and finally, the addition of her desired color.

1ST SESSION – NEUTRALIZATION
As you can see, her lips were naturally dark and pigmented before we started. The first session focused on neutralizing the dark tones using the appropriate pigments.

After healing, you can already see a noticeable change! The darkness has started to soften, and the lips look lighter and more balanced. However, one session is not always enough to achieve complete neutralization.

2ND SESSION – CONTINUED NEUTRALIZATION
During the second session, I added a little more color to further correct the remaining dark areas and improve the overall tone.

Look at the healed result after the second session! Her lips are now beautifully neutralized, and the dark pigmentation has significantly improved.

3RD SESSION – TIME TO ADD COLOR!
Now that her lips have reached a more balanced and neutralized tone, it’s time to introduce the color she truly wants!

This is where we can focus on achieving her desired lip color while considering her natural lip tone and how her skin responds to the pigment.

A LITTLE REMINDER, EVERYONE!

Dark lips neutralization is a PROCESS, not a one-session miracle.

Every client has a different natural lip color, level of pigmentation, skin response, and healing process. Some may need more sessions than others to achieve their desired results.

The goal is to gradually neutralize the darkness first before building up the desired color.

So please, don’t expect dark lips to turn into perfectly pink or lipstick-colored lips after just one session. Patience and proper technique are key!

The first photo shows the healed result after 2 sessions done by another artist and honestly, the result was already good, especially for clients who prefer a soft and natural-looking lip color.

But this client wanted more color, more definition, and a little extra vibrancy, so we decided to build up the color gradually.

Now, this is her 3rd touch-up, focusing on adding more richness and definition while still keeping the lips looking beautiful and balanced.

Remember, lip tattoo results are not always about making the lips super bold in one session. Sometimes, building the color gradually and allowing the lips to heal properly gives a more controlled and beautiful result.
