Finding Balance: Making PMOS Management Sustainable

PMOS management shouldn’t put your life on hold. It should learn how to work with the life you actually live. 💙

For Lucky, there was no shortage of reasons to feel overwhelmed—wedding preparations, running Discover MNL, building a studio, work, and at the same time, learning how to better manage her PMOS.

In Episode 5 of The PMOS Stories, Lucky shares how having the right medical guidance gave her something she had been searching for: a plan she could realistically follow.

Together with Dr. Jennifer Narvaez, they gradually worked through her supplements, diet, movement, daily routine, and lifestyle—adjusting the approach around what her body needed and what she could actually sustain. Over time, Lucky shares how she saw meaningful changes in her weight and acne while building healthier habits that went far beyond preparing for her wedding.

And perhaps the most important lesson from this chapter?

PMOS management is not a sprint. It’s a marathon.

A treatment plan can only go so far without consistency—and consistency becomes much more achievable when the plan respects the patient’s real life. It’s a partnership between doctor and patient: proper guidance on one side, commitment and follow-through on the other.

Because the goal isn’t to live perfectly. It’s to build healthier choices you can continue living with long after the milestone you started them for.

The kind of glow that makes people ask, “What did you do to your skin?” ✨

For Trina Candaza, we’re taking fresh, healthy-looking skin to another level with one of our prime treatments at The Narvaez Clinic—LumiLyft+.

As Dr. Elwyn Narvaez explains, LumiLyft+ is designed to deliver what we call the BTL Effect: Brightening, Tightening & Lifting—while also helping refine the appearance of pores and improve skin hydration for that noticeably fresher, more luminous look.

And one of the reasons it has quickly become a clinic favorite? No needles, no pain, and no downtime. A treatment designed to fit even into a busy day—because looking refreshed shouldn’t always mean putting your life on pause.

For Trina, it’s another treatment made to enhance what’s already there: healthier-looking, hydrated, beautifully glowing skin.

Because sometimes, you don’t want to look like you had something done.
You just want people to notice how good you look. 💙

When PMOS Starts Affecting More Than Your Body

PMOS doesn’t always stop at the physical symptoms. Sometimes, it begins to affect how you feel, how you see yourself, and even how you show up in the world.

In Episode 4 of The PMOS Stories, Lucky opens up about a particularly difficult part of her journey—persistent acne, losing confidence, isolating herself from friends and family, and feeling overwhelmed despite trying different ways to address what she was experiencing.

And while Lucky was trying to understand her own body, Waltz was doing the same—researching PMOS, looking for resources, finding healthier recipes, and learning how he could better support her. 💙

As Dr. Jennifer Narvaez explains, PMOS involves more than what we see on the surface. Hormonal and metabolic concerns, including insulin resistance, may be part of the bigger picture—which is why understanding and addressing the underlying condition matters alongside managing its visible symptoms.

Because sometimes, what looks like “just acne” to everyone else can be affecting someone much more deeply.

This PMOS Awareness Month, may we also make space for the emotional side of the journey—and for the partners and loved ones who choose to learn, understand, and walk through it with them.

Beyond cosmetics. Beyond aesthetics. Toward care that can truly change how women live, feel, and experience their own bodies.

At the PPAIFI 13th Biennial Convention — Bespoke Aesthetics 2026, Dr. Jennifer Paula Sy-Narvaez took the stage to present “The Modern Landscape of Aesthetic Gynecology: Beyond Cosmetics.”

A lecture that brought an important conversation to the forefront: that aesthetic gynecology is not simply about appearance. It can also be about comfort, function, intimate wellness, confidence, and giving women a safe space to speak about concerns they may have silently lived with for years.

For Dr. Jen, moving the field forward means looking beyond what can be seen—and understanding the woman, her concerns, and her quality of life as a whole.

To stand before fellow physicians and help expand that conversation was more than a moment on stage. It was an opportunity to advocate for a more thoughtful, compassionate, and patient-centered future for women’s intimate health.

Because when medicine listens to women more closely, aesthetics can become something far more meaningful than cosmetic.

Two lectures. Two conversations shaping the future of aesthetic medicine. One unforgettable experience.

At the PPAIFI 13th Biennial Convention — Bespoke Aesthetics 2026, Dr. Elwyn Narvaez took the stage not once, but twice—sharing his experience, clinical perspective, and evolving approach to two highly relevant areas in modern aesthetics:

“Beyond The Scale: Tirzepatide on Cosmetic Surgery”
and
“The Power of Synergy: Optimizing Skin Regeneration with Neauvia .”

Beyond sharing knowledge, it became an opportunity to exchange perspectives, challenge ideas, and contribute to the continued evolution of aesthetic medicine.

Thank you, PPAIFI, and to every colleague who listened, engaged, and made these moments truly meaningful.

Because expertise creates an even greater impact when it is shared.

“I Finally Had an Answer—But I Still Felt Lost.”

Sometimes, getting a diagnosis doesn’t immediately bring relief. Sometimes, it comes with fear, frustration, and even more questions.

In Episode 3 of The PMOS Stories, Lucky opens up to Dr. Jennifer Narvaez about the moment she first learned she had PMOS. After years of struggling with persistent breakouts, weight changes, mood swings, brain fog, and wondering what was happening to her body, she finally had a name for what she was experiencing.

But knowing what it was didn’t mean she knew what to do next.

And beside her through that uncertainty was Waltz—learning alongside her, helping with appointments, making lifestyle changes with her, and simply making sure she didn’t have to navigate everything alone. 💙

It’s a side of PMOS we don’t talk about enough: the emotional weight of searching for answers, the overwhelm of conflicting information, and the importance of having both the right medical guidance and a strong support system.

This PMOS Awareness Month, we hope Lucky and Waltz’s story reminds women—and the people who love them—that PMOS is a journey you shouldn’t have to figure out alone.

How Do You Really Know If You Have PMOS?

Having regular periods doesn’t automatically rule out PMOS—and Lucky’s story is a good example of why looking at the bigger picture matters. 💙

In Episode 2 of The PMOS Stories, Lucky and Waltz Siy continue their conversation with Dr. Jennifer Narvaez about how PMOS is assessed, including the Rotterdam criteria and the different signs women may experience—from changes in their menstrual cycle to signs of higher androgen levels such as persistent acne or excess hair growth, as well as polycystic ovarian findings on ultrasound.

For Lucky, her periods were regular, but other findings still led to further evaluation through blood work and ultrasound.

Dr. Jen also shares an important part of her approach: look beyond the symptoms and understand what may be contributing to them. Because managing PMOS isn’t simply about addressing what we see on the surface—it’s about building a realistic, sustainable plan around each woman’s health, lifestyle, and future goals.

This PMOS Awareness Month, we’re continuing the conversation so more women can recognize that PMOS doesn’t always present the same way.

The PMOS Stories — Ep. 2
How Do You Really Know If You Have PMOS?

01/09/2026

September is PMOS Awareness Month—and we’re starting the conversation with an important reminder: PMOS doesn’t always look the way you expect it to. 💙

Many women associate PMOS with irregular periods. But for Lucky, her cycle was regular. Instead, some of the concerns that led her to seek guidance were weight gain and persistent hormonal acne.

In Episode 1 of The PMOS Journey with Lucky, she sits down with Dr. Jennifer Narvaez to revisit how her journey began—from seeking help during the pandemic to better understanding her symptoms, hormones, and the importance of having a management plan tailored to her needs and future goals.

Because women can experience PMOS differently. And sometimes, the signs we easily dismiss may be worth discussing with your OB-GYN.

This September, we hope Lucky’s story encourages more women to know their bodies, ask questions, and seek proper medical guidance when something doesn’t feel quite right.

PART 2: The best treatment isn’t always the strongest one. It’s the one that makes sense for your face.

For Trina Candaza, Dr. Elwyn Narvaez saw two possible approaches: Endolift X for a more intensive internal laser treatment to address targeted fat and stimulate lifting, or Morpheus8 for a more gradual approach with less downtime.

After discussing the benefits, downtime, and what each option could realistically do for her concern, Trina chose to start with Morpheus8.

And that conversation is exactly what a personalized Narvaez Face Plan should look like.

With so many aesthetic treatments available today, choosing based on what’s trending isn’t enough. Dr. Elwyn first determines what your face actually needs, then explains your options so you can make the decision with him—not just be handed a procedure.

Because your face deserves more than a treatment menu.
It deserves a plan made specifically for you. ✨

“29 pa lang ako, pero bakit parang lumulubog na yung face ko?” It’s a concern that can make you feel like your face looks more tired or mature than you actually feel.

For Trina Candaza, the answer wasn’t simply to add volume or immediately lift the face.

After carefully assessing her facial structure, Dr. Elwyn Narvaez identified areas where the existing fat distribution also needed to be considered—which changed the approach completely.

For this part of her Narvaez Face Plan, Doc chose Morpheus8 RF Microneedling, customizing the treatment settings across different areas of her face to address her specific concerns while also stimulating collagen and improving overall skin texture.

Because when it comes to facial contouring, the best treatment isn’t always the most obvious one. It’s the one chosen after understanding what your face actually needs.

This is why your Narvaez Face Plan starts with an assessment—not a trend. ✨

Watch as we begin Trina’s customized treatment journey with Dr. Elwyn Narvaez.
