Make sure of 2 things:

One, don't rinse before brushing, and that the toothbrush is dry.

Second, continue to apply the whitening toothpaste, and brush for a constant three minutes. After brushing 3 minutes, DO NOT immediately rinse.

It's highly suggested that you wait (recommended time being 3 minutes, with the toothpaste still in your mouth) for the whitening to take effect, then rinse with water. ☝🏻
