Happy birthday to me!!! 🎂🎉🎈 I finally got my hands on Colors Speak palette!!! I can’t believe I FINALLY have a colored eyeshadow palette!!! I remember I used to own one from Ever Bilena that I used for my Rep showcases and Camp Rock auditions back in 2012 and then I finished it in 2013 when we moved to Eisenhower! From that point on, I owned another one from LA Colors that I bought in Alabang Town Centre! I don’t know what happened to that one, but I bought those two palettes around 2012-2013 when I was in early high school. Now, I’m really looking forward to stepping up my game, going out of my comfort zone and wearing bright colored eyeshadows again! For years, I didn’t really like colored eyeshadows because I felt like they were too loud, but I’m really open to trying new things when it comes to makeup, hence being a makeup artist! I’m actually planning to do a makeup look that reminds me of the song “Home” from the musical “The Wiz” using the shades HOPEFUL, AWE and HAPPINESS complete with pastel purple lipstick and big lashes! You’ll see that soon! Tomorrow, I’ll be posting a mask friendly makeup look that brings out the colors as well as mentioning dupes for this from MAC, Makeup Geek and maybe Colourpop!

Here’s to more makeup days!!!! 💋

❕SUPER EARLY POST❕

One year ago today, I officially graduated with a degree in professional makeup artistry. I’ve always loved doing makeup, particularly on myself, but back then, I felt like I wasn’t confident enough to do it on other people. That is, until I discovered makeup artistry courses that you can do on other people’s faces, not just yourself! I took this course in professional makeup artistry in January 10 last year and graduated exactly ONE YEAR AGO!!! Can you believe it? I mean, I wanted to do makeup on others, particularly for proms, weddings (I’ll get to that in February 😉), and of course, theater arts! I wanted to do makeup for La Salle Greenhills Cue Drama Club’s play last year as well as my friends from St. Paul Pasig’s prom batch, but most of those events got cancelled due to COVID ☹️ But luckily, I was able to do makeup for Tita , .philippines as well as the remarkable !!! All in all, I hope the virus will be gone for good soon, the pandemic will come to a complete stop and all will come to a happy end... thank you, for this amazing opportunity!!! I would love to do makeup in the future for weddings, proms, LSGH Cue Drama Club and of course, Resorts World’s “Bongga Ka Day”!!! Hooray for makeup!!! 💋💋💋

I used to really HATE makeup when I was about 10 or 11. As in I really HATED it. I remember my mom used to put makeup on me when I had to go to my cousin’s wedding back in 2008 or so. I really hated the feeling of wearing makeup. For years, I let that thought slide. I remember before entering my first year of high school, I decided to give makeup a try before school started. So I tried getting inspiration from celebrities, even if I wasn’t really good at makeup. I was in first year high school when I was experimenting a little bit with makeup, but so far, I only liked wearing eyeliner. When I hit my second year of high school, I was expanding my makeup collection and watching makeup tutorials. Fun fact: the first makeup tutorial I’ve watched on YouTube was by Ariana Grande during her Nickelodeon days! So I started watching more makeup tutorials and I ended up doing my makeup like certain celebrities such as Ariana, Anna Kendrick and others! Then, summer hit. I felt like I needed to wear more makeup than expected because I felt like I wasn’t beautiful underneath it. I have an entire post about that so you can check the photo of me where I’m excited to eat mozzarella sticks from CPK and I have lots of liner on! It’s on that particular post! ☺️ But anyway, when my braces came off, I finally lessened the makeup I was applying to my face. So many people said I look better with lesser (it rhymes!) amounts of makeup. Years later, I decided to take courses in makeup artistry. Thanks to MP School, I can passionately do makeup on others and make my clients happy. As the days go by, I’m telling the world that makeup is my passion... 💄💋

I was checking to see if any of my clients needed touch-ups and I saw them doing this! So I asked if I can use some of the photos from their “backstage shenanigans” for my page! Here is Ms. doing a little “IG photoshoot” while she and the others waited their turn for the real deal! 📸📷
