Even well-intentioned skincare routines can lead to irritation, barrier dysfunction, and acne flares when fundamentals are overlooked.

Tretinoin applied on damp skin increases percutaneous absorption, often resulting in unnecessary irritation rather than improved efficacy.

Excessive product layering—especially in hot, humid climates—promotes occlusion, sebum retention, and comedogenesis.

Mechanical exfoliation with loofahs introduces both microbial contamination and microtrauma to the skin barrier.

And commonly, photoprotection is incomplete—particularly with the neck being neglected despite equal UV exposure.

Optimizing outcomes doesn’t require complexity—just correct technique and consistency.
