I am Fitz Gerald, and my story is one shaped by purpose, resilience, and the unwavering will to rise.

I’m a Psychology major, a path I chose because I believe in the power of understanding the human mind and the importance of compassion. This passion led me to become a cultural Ambassadress of PSU Sining Palawan Dance troupe, proudly championing the traditions, stories, and heritage that make our communities unique and alive.
Beyond that, I serve as a peer educator and CBS motivator at Amos Tara Community Center, where I work closely with individuals seeking guidance, empowerment, and a safe space to grow. Every conversation, every session, and every story I listen to strengthens my commitment to advocacy and community service.

But perhaps the deepest part of who I am comes from a chapter I never expected to face.

This year, I was given what I call my second life. I was intubated, admitted to the ICU, and came terrifyingly close to losing everything. In those moments, when breath was borrowed and time felt fragile - I discovered the purest truth “life is a gift” and purpose is not something we wait for… it’s something we choose.
I chose to survive. I chose to fight.
And now, I choose to be a message of hope.
Today, I stand not just as Fitz Gerald the Artist, the advocate, the educator but as someone who has walked through fear, held on to life, and returned with a heart determined to inspire.
My journey is proof that even when life breaks you, you can still rise stronger, brighter, and with a story that can light the path for others.

This is my truth. This is my healing. And this is my chance to share a story that may help someone believe in their own strength.
