Reposting this coz some members have been getting the STINKY PEPPERMINT recently!

I don’t know all i know is I keep trying to get one and I haven’t yet but I keep trying! Why in the world would I actually want stinky Peppermint?!

Ok here’s the real story on it and read until the end because it’s gonna blow your mind 🤯!!!

You are so LUCKY you got that Peppermint!!! Diamonds just had a call with our Chief Science Office, Dr. Michael Buch, and he explained in science terms how incredibly therapeutic and powerful 👊 it is.

Here is the response from Dr. Michael Buch:

We have recently received some comments about peppermint oil (lots 30057 and 30431, plus a few others since) possessing an “atypical” aroma. Thorough analyses in both the QC lab and the R&D lab have led to the following conclusions:

1) These peppermint lots show no evidence of contamination and fall completely within all YL specifications for peppermint oil.

2) This peppermint oil is sourced from North America (previous lots were sourced from India), and we believe this new source to be of the highest quality available.

3) Because this peppermint grows in a different environment, there is some natural variation from previous lots.

4) GCMS data show that these lots contain slightly higher levels of menthofurane than previous lots, and although the menthofurane levels (≈6%) are within our specifications, these levels are responsible for the “different” aroma profile.

5) Some people are more sensitive to the smell of menthofurane than others.

6) It is important to note that menthofurane occurs naturally in peppermint oil and that this compound is a mark of fresh peppermint. The highest levels of menthofurane are actually found in the peppermint flowers.

Blah blah blah blah Science is cool...so....
I should also add... the year before I began using oils, there was a batch of stinky peppermint. Some leaders quickly realized that the stinky peppermint and they HOARDED it. These same leaders were PUMPED when they heard it happened again and are buying it all up! Hah! Bring on the stinky peppermint! 🌱🌱🌱

Here's a quick rundown...

🌿Diffusers are:

1. Typically smaller devices that hold less water (usually around 150ml – 300ml)
2. A diffuser's purpose is to create a small stream of mist that carries essential oils into the air.
3. The most popular type of diffuser is an ultrasonic diffuser that has a vibrating plate that mixes and vaporizes the water and oils by shaking. this makes it easier to breathe in the essential oils.
4. Cleaning and maintenance are typically easy as there are no tubes or enclosed areas where water sits.

🌿 Humidifiers are:

1. A typically larger device that holds around 1 gallon of water.
2. A humidifier's purpose is to help control a set level of moisture in an area.
3. They do not have the ability to mix essential oils and water.
4. It can be difficult to keep clean and maintain.
