💕 Seasons of Discipleship 💕

Had an awesome afternoon at LOLA Cafe with my church cell group at Christ the Counselor Fellowship.

Today we celebrated a most anticipated new baby and warmly welcomed a supermomma of a new member.

We spoke about the very specific and rich mandate to older women to disciple younger women in Titus 2.

This happened to be the very first Bible study I prepared for my very first cellgroup meeting in 2006.

Back then, as a growing believer, I couldn't sing, couldn't play any instrument, couldn't remain constantly cheerful to greet people at the door, had a no gifting in helps, giving, or any other thing that could possibly be of use in our church.

But I could teach. I could give time. I could pray. And I could love hard. So I fell into the role of a discipler, when my own discipler thought I was ready.

I made so many mistakes, and learned so much along the way. But God's grace has been so amazingly abundant.

Now, I thank God for the high privilege of sharing in the lives of these amazing women who have since gone on to minister as heads of their own ministries in church, as disciplers themselves, and as wives, mothers, and professionals, too.

How wonderful that always, Christ continues to increase in them.

Ladies, I love you all in Christ and I pray to be there for you for as long as I am able. 😍🙏🥰

Believers, let us aspire to disciple. God is strong in our weakness, and will always give us beauty for our ashes.
