Collagen Types 1 & 3 may:
* minimize fine lines and wrinkles*
* improve elasticity*
* support the bone matrix (36% of bone is made up of collagen Type 1 and 3)*
* correct weak or damaged nail beds*
* thicken fine hair, slows hair loss*
* improve circulation*
* promote glycine production which builds leans muscle and helps burn fat during sleep*
Collagen is Protein
Perhaps you’ve used collagen supplements or taken a form of gelatin to help improve the health of your hair, skin or nails. But do you know there are different collagen types and which types are better taken together or apart from each other? Did you know that aside from water, collagen is the most plentiful substance in our bodies and is a building block for skin, tendons, and bones?
Collagen types contain different proteins which serve separate purposes within the body. Types 1 & 3 can be taken together and may support skin, muscles, bone health, and hair and nail growth and maintenance*. Collagen Type 2 protein makes up the fluids and function in the cartilage and joints. Type 2 collagen supplements should be taken separately from Types 1 & 3 to ensure adequate absorption*.
There are 19 amino acids (proteins) found in Collagen Types 1 & 3 – each essential to functions and maintenance within skin, muscles, and bones. These types are produced by fibroblasts (cells in connective tissues) and osteoblasts (cells that make bones).
Over 90 percent of collagen in the body is comprised of Type 1 & 3 Collagen. Proteins in these types include glycine, proline, alanine, and hydroxyproline.
Collagen Type 2 for Joint and Cartilage Support
Suggested use to take at bedtime on an empty stomach. To improve effectiveness, do not take in conjunction with Type 1 & 3.
Collagen Type 2:
makes up 50-60% of protein in cartilage
makes up 85-90% of collagen in articular cartilage
may reduce popping knees*
may support back, jaw, and joints*
includes glucosamine, chondroitin, and hyaluronic acid

Vitamin C is one of the safest and most effective nutrients, experts say. It may not be the cure for the common cold (though it's thought to help prevent more serious complications). But the benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling.
A recent study published in Seminars in Preventive and Alternative Medicine that looked at over 100 studies over 10 years revealed a growing list of benefits of vitamin C.
Hyaluronic acid (HA; conjugate base hyaluronate), also called hyaluronan, is an anionic, nonsulfated glycosaminoglycan distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial, and neural tissues. It is unique among glycosaminoglycans in that it is nonsulfated, forms in the plasma membrane instead of the Golgi apparatus, and can be very large: human synovial HA averages about 7 million Da per molecule, or about twenty thousand disaccharide monomers.[2] One of the chief components of the extracellular matrix, hyaluronan contributes significantly to cell proliferation and migration, and may also be involved in the progression of some malignant tumors.[3]
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a nutrient that occurs naturally in the body. CoQ10 is also in many foods we eat. CoQ10 acts as an antioxidant, which protects cells from damage and plays an important part in the metabolism.
Why do people take CoQ10?
Although CoQ10 plays a key role in the body, most healthy people have enough CoQ10 naturally. There is some evidence that adding more -- in the form of CoQ10 supplements -- may be beneficial. Increasing age and some medical conditions are associated with dropping levels of CoQ10. But in these cases, it’s uncertain that adding CoQ10 will have an effect.
CoQ10 has been used to treat many different conditions. There's evidence that CoQ10 supplements can lower blood pressure slightly. CoQ10 is also used to treat heart failure and other heart conditions, possibly helping to improve some symptoms and lessen future cardiac risks when combined with regular medications, but the evidence is conflicting.
Selenium is a mineral found in the soil. Selenium naturally appears in water and some foods. While people only need a very small amount, selenium plays a key role in the metabolism.
Why do people take selenium?
Selenium has attracted attention because of its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants protect cells from damage. Evidence that selenium supplements may reduce the odds of prostate cancer has been mixed, but most studies suggest there is no real benefit. Selenium does not seem to affect the risk of colorectal or lung cancer. But beware: selenium also seems to increase the risk of non-melanoma skin cancer.
Among healthy people in the U.S., selenium deficiencies are uncommon. But some health conditions -- such as HIV, Crohn's disease, and others -- are associated with low selenium levels. People who are fed intravenously are also at risk for low selenium. Doctors sometimes suggest that people with these conditions use selenium supplements.
Selenium has also been studied for the treatment of dozens of conditions. They range from asthma to arthritis to dandruff to infertility. However, the results have been inconclusive.

Garcinia Cambodia.
Hydroxycitric acid (HCA),
a citric acid byproduct, is the main active ingredient in Garcinia cambogia extract. HCA blocks fat by inhibiting the efforts of citrate lyase, an important metabolic enzyme. This is one of the reasons that Garcinia is so successful as a weight loss supplement. ... It allows halts fat storage.
Calcium
The mineral calcium is well-known for its key role in bone health. Calcium also helps maintain heart rhythm, muscle function, and more. Because of its health benefits, calcium is one of the best-selling supplements in the U.S. and UK.
Acai berries contain antioxidants, fiber and heart-healthy fats. They may have more antioxidant content than other commonly eaten berries, such as cranberries, blueberries and strawberries. But, research on acai berries is limited, and claims about the health benefits of acai haven't been proved.
The effect of green tea on weight loss seems to be linked with the amount of catechins or caffeine contained in the beverage or supplement. However, some research suggests that taking green tea extracts or drinking green tea does not reduce body weight or BMI.
Rhubarb was first recorded and rated as one of the inferior remedies in the oldest Chinese herbal books, from 22 to 250 AD. 4 In the 1780s, the active constituents responsible for the root's cathartic action and astringency were still unknown. Initially, researchers learned that the medicinal root came from several varieties or species of rhubarb. By the end of the 19th century, it became clear that the particular medicinal characteristics of rhubarb were affected by conditions under which the roots grew, such as soil composition and climate. 5
Rhubarb has been used medicinally in Europe since the 13th century. The herb was brought from the eastern Mediterranean by way of the Silk Road, which stretches from China across central Asia. The first reported sighting of the plant in situ was in the mountains of Bulgaria. In 1731, a rhubarb commission was set up at the Mongolian border to import the best possible root at a fixed price. At the same time, the British East India Company secured their positions in Chinese ports. Both companies supplied Europe with rhubarb. 5
In the 1830s and 1840s, the cooked stems of rhubarb emerged as a culinary delight, especially in Britain and the United States. 5 , 6

Chlorella sorokiniana is a freshwater green microalga with a characteristic emerald-green color and pleasant grass odor. Its cell division rate is quite fast and divides into four new cells every 17 to 24 hours. The algae was found by a Dutch microbiologist Martinus W. Beijerinck in 1890. This microalgae has also been used extensively as a model system to study enzymes involved in higher plant metabolism.
