“Doc, pwede ba magpa-aesthetic treatment habang breastfeeding?” — one of the questions I get quite often. 🤍

As much as we want to get back to our treatments, not everything is appropriate during breastfeeding. It’s always better to ask first and make sure the treatment is safe for both you and your baby.

If you’re breastfeeding and considering an aesthetic treatment, talk to your doctor before booking. ✨

YES. I can do all the poses if that’s what it takes to make sure I check your moles properly. 😂🔍

We all have little habits we don’t realize might be affecting our skin. 😅

From picking active pimples and skipping SPF on your hands to over-exfoliating, taking super hot showers, and constantly switching up your skincare… these small things can add up over time.

As a dermatologist, these are some of the habits I see often—and honestly, they’re usually easy to change once you know about them.

Which one are you guilty of? 👀

Save this as your little skincare reminder and share it with someone who needs it. 🤍

If you’re asking about CO₂ laser when you have active acne, this is an important one to know. 🚨

Active acne and acne scars need different approaches, and treating the skin with an aggressive resurfacing procedure at the wrong time can do more harm than good.

In this reel, I explain why I wouldn’t recommend CO₂ laser when you still have active breakouts and what you should consider doing first.

Save this if you’re planning to treat your acne scars, and send it to someone who needs to hear this. 🤍

“I used to think melasma was all about the sun… until I realized there’s so much more to it. 😳”

As a skin doctor, these are some of the things I always remind my patients about—because sometimes, it’s not just how much sun you get, but also the heat, hormones, hot showers, and even your sauna/steam room habits that may be contributing.

Melasma can be stubborn, but knowing your triggers is already a big step in managing it. 🤎

Save this if you’re dealing with melasma, and send it to someone who needs to know!

What a privilege it is to do work that goes beyond treating skin. 🤍

Every consultation is a chance to listen, understand, and help someone feel a little more confident in their own skin. I’m so grateful to the patients who trust me with their skin journey.

It’s a privilege I never take for granted. ✨

3 things I wouldn’t recommend when it comes to your skin 👀

Rejuvenating sets, DIY mole removal creams, and doing chemical peels at home may look tempting online, but your skin deserves more than trial and error.

As a doctor, I’d always recommend knowing what your skin actually needs and choosing treatments that are safe, appropriate, and backed by proper medical guidance.

Save this for the next time you’re tempted to try a viral skincare “hack.” 🤍

Moisturizer every day is bad? 👀 Let’s talk about it.

As a doctor, one of the skincare questions I hear a lot is whether using moisturizer too often can actually be harmful. The short answer? It really depends on your skin type, the ingredients, and the moisturizer you’re using.

In this reel, I’m breaking down when moisturizer helps your skin—and when you might need to rethink what you’re applying.

Because good skincare isn’t about following every trend. It’s about understanding what your skin actually needs. 🤍

Being a mom and a doctor means life doesn’t always go according to plan—and honestly, I’m still figuring it out. 🤍

Some days, I’m in “Mom mode” doing school drop-offs, helping with homework, answering random kwentos, and trying to keep up with everything at home. Then, just like that, I switch to “Doc Patty mode”—seeing patients, doing procedures, and giving my all at the clinic.

It’s not a perfect work-life balance. It’s messy, busy, and sometimes chaotic. But I’ve learned that balance doesn’t always mean giving everything equal time. Sometimes, it simply means being fully present wherever I am.

And at the end of the day, I’m grateful I get to be both. 🤍

When I was younger, I knew I wanted to become a doctor—but I didn’t just dream about the title. I dreamed of becoming the kind of doctor people could genuinely trust. 🤍

Someone who listens. Someone who understands. Someone who makes you feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how small they may seem.

Years later, I’m living that dream as a dermatologist, and I still remind myself that being knowledgeable is only one part of what I do. I also want every patient who sits across from me to feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for.

And if I can inspire even one person along the way, that makes this journey even more meaningful. 🥹✨

Still learning, still growing, and always grateful to do what I once only dreamed of doing.
