BONDI BEACH SHOOTING | FATHER AND SON IDENTIFIED AS SUSPECTS

The death toll from the mass shooting during a celebration at ’s Bondi Beach has risen to 15, with more than 30 people still hospitalized, many in critical condition. Authorities described the attack as an act of terrorism and said it was allegedly carried out by a father-and-son duo, one of whom was killed by police while the other remains in critical condition.

The attack, which targeted a gathering, drew swift national condemnation, with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese calling it “an attack on every Australian.” Investigators said there are no other suspects, as tributes poured in for a bystander hailed as a hero for tackling one of the gunmen and disarming him. | Photo courtesy of AFP
