I am Doula Pat, one-sixth of the six ladies of the Pinay Doulas Collective, the first group of doulas here in the Philippines.

Last August 23, two couples joined me for a childbirth preparation and education class, Embrace Your Birth. During the class, they learned how the uterus works, what could be expected when they arrive at the hospital, and what are the usual procedures offered during labor.
They, especially the dads, learned comfort measures so labor becomes more manageable. And they're delighted to know that some of the techniques we did can already be used to help moms release tension and tightness as their pregnancy progresses.
