Ano Ang Uric Acid At Sanhi Ng Pagtaas Nito?

Ang uric acid ay isang uri ng kemikal na nabuo sa katawan na maaaring nagmula sa mga pagkaing mayayaman sa "purine" gaya ng atay, lamang-loob, pulang karne, sardines, mackerel, at iba pa.

Nagkakaroon din ng mataas na uric acid level ang isang tao kapag palainom ng alak, o kaya naman ay may kondisyon gaya ng gout/arthritis, diabetes, obesity, at problema sa bato o kidneys.

Kailangang mailabas ang uric acid sa katawan sapagkat ito ay isang waste product - kemikal na di kailangan ng katawan.

Nailalabas ang uric acid sa pamamagitan ng pag-ihi at pagdumi para maregulate ang normal na level nito na naglalaro sa pag-itan ng 2.5 - 7.5 mg/dL para sa babae at 4.0 - 8.5 mg/dL para sa lalaki.

Kapag hindi nailabas ang uric acid sa katawan, mananatili ito sa daluyan ng dugo, kaya naman kapag nagpa-uric acid blood test o urine test ka, mataas ang uric acid level mo.

Kapag ikaw ay sobra sa timbang, malamang ay mataas ang iyong uric acid level. Bawas-bawasan ang kain.

Huwag kumain masyado ng pagkaing mayaman sa purine gaya ng:

atay
lamang-loob
pulang karne
isdang mayaman sa omega 3 (sardines, tuna, mackerel)
sitaw (o kapamilya nito)
munggo
dilis
bagoong
tahong (o anumang shelled-foods)

Pwede ang lahat ng uri ng gulay maliban sa mga nabanggit. Kung kakain ng karne, huwag lagi yung mapupulang karne gaya ng baka, baboy, kabayo, kambing, at iba pa.
