We have been seeing a lot of blister like lesions in the previous months. And true that we may had reported a diagnosed case of Monkey Pox recently, this rash is not from MPox. This is to make the public aware that we are not seeing a rising case of MPox in Talisay. Instead these are cases of a reactivation of varicella virus causing Herpes Zoster or 'likus-likus'. This can be treated with anti-viral medication.

So if you have a suspicious rash or lesion consult a healthcare professional or Dermatologist for prompt diagnosis and treatment.
