ANTI DRUG Campaign

The here are many reasons why teenagers are involved in illegal drugs, one of it’s reason is the “influence of their friends”, out of curiosity teenagers use drugs for them to feel “relieved” or for them to feel that there are in to their friends ego, some of them found it as a way to earn money while some found it as a cure for their problem. But why do they have this kind of mindset? where are their parents for them to be guide?. Sadly, half of the teenagers that are suffering from drug addiction has lack of parenting guidance, most of their parents tolerates them, most of their parents is scared to handle this kind of problem since they don’t know who to be called for. In this World full of teenagers suffering from drug addiction it isn’t just them who needs help their parents as well needs help, In this campaign we believe that in proper handle of such issues this problem can be solve easily. We believe that every individual who suffers from this kind of problem needs time and understanding for them to be change. it’s never too late, it’s just the beginning of their change.

The purpose of this campaign is to settle people and orient them not to use illegal drugs and to disseminate them the information about drugs. It is also by developing a better understanding of the Filipino society's level of knowledge and awareness about the dangers of drugs and identifying whether the use of media and communication strategies increases awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

Surrounding yourself with friends who don't use drugs.

Avoiding places where you know drugs and alcohol will be available.

Illegal drugs aren't good for anyone, but they are particularly bad for a kid or teen whose body is still growing. Illegal drugs can damage the brain, heart, and other important organs.

Drugs don't solve problems. And using drugs often causes other problems on top of the problems the person had in the first place.

The goal of the Strategy is to contribute to safer and healthier communities through coordinated efforts to prevent use, treat dependency, and reduce production and distribution of illicit drugs

Protecting Children in the Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign (ProAct) is a project of Save the Children Philippines that aims to build stronger child protection systems, protect children from the adverse impacts of the anti-illegal drugs campaign, and promote nonviolence and respect for human rights at the national and local.

As noted previously, early use of drugs increases a person's chances of becoming addicted. Remember, drugs change the brain—and this can lead to addiction and other serious problems. So, preventing early use of drugs or alcohol may go a long way in reducing these risks.

responsibility towards the use of drugs and relate
these to their own actions.
