Artisan Soaps are 100% handmade in small batches with food-grade oils, liquids, active ingredients, phthalate-free fragrances, or essential oils. We assure you that all the lye used in the creation of the soap has all reacted. All soaps are manually poured and designed by hand, therefore they may differ slightly in color and shape. When I started soapmaking, I made soaps to be given as gifts (first photo). If you can see it's not purely smooth and there are textures and lines, this is because the soap has formed what we call Glycerin Rivers.

When using Titanium Dioxide as white colorant, the formation of glycerin rivers may be more evident hence affecting the aesthetic features of the soap. But this is only based on the soapmakers preference. 😉 Some forces their soaps to produce these rivers.

Cold process soap that gets too hot can form glycerin rivers. They don't affect the quality of the soap, but they do affect the way it looks. Glycerin rivers create a cracked or mottled appearance that can obscure more intricate designs.

this soap looks so creamy. 🤤 admittedly, when they hardened i had partial gel on the first batch and alien brain on the second batch. lol

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗹 - happens when the soap cools off before the gel phase reaches the edges of the mold. [cause: i placed my soap inside the fridge]

𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 - happens when the soap overheats. [cause: i covered my soap too long which trapped the heat from the reaction of the soaps]
