Preservatives touted as natural are actually synthetic..
MOST of the preservatives touted as being ‘natural’ are in fact nature identical – they are SYNTHETIC versions that are chemically identical to their natural counterparts. In other words, many of the so called ‘natural’ preservatives in ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ products are actually synthetic. Some examples of SYNTHETIC preservatives used in cosmetics, that are nature identical (NOT NATURAL): sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sorbic acid, benzyl alcohol.
