This is the time for the people of GB and Chitral to come together, sit and think about the future of Shandoor Festival. The polo association and Civil administration of both side must be united against those who have occupied the event by power. There is no need of Army security in shandoor. Our local police are enough for the security. According the news circulating on media 80 millions rupees have been taken by the Army in the name of security.
They are making Shandoor a security zone for the public and the tourist. They mistreat public, civil administrations, polo players and tourists. It looks like more Army camp than a tourist spot.
We demand to keep the Army away from Shandoor and use the money for the betterment and development of polo players, polo Grounds and access roads to shandoor on both sides. If the administration of shandoor will not be given back to Civilian both side should boycott the event. We request the presidents of polo associations of both side to come together and call a press conference or organize protest against the mistreatment.
