*DFP EPI Dr. Zulfiqar Khoso Supervision of UCs for EPI & Polio Teams_*

- Conducted monitoring of the outreach site at UC 132 Hussainabad (MMP population near Auto Bhan). During this visit, two zero-dose children were validated.
- Supervised two mobile teams operating in UCs 129 and 130 Hussainabad.
- Monitored the EPI fixed site located at Al Shifa Hospital, UC 02 Latifabad.

The monitoring included a comprehensive review of the availability of vaccinators, verification of zero-dose lists for the past three months along with their follow-up, assessment of cold chain management for vaccines, and evaluation of record-keeping practices related to vaccines and logistics.

DFP–EPI, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Khoso visited the EPI Center in Taluka Qasimabad to monitor and assess routine immunization activities. During the visit, validated the MMP population of UC 125 and thoroughly checked the vaccination status of children.

During their visit, they reviewed and checked all essential components including the availability of vaccines, the logistics arrangements, the microplan, the tour plan of the vaccinators, and the presence of vaccinators at the center.

Two-Day Refresher Training for Vaccinators – Day 1 Summary*

The first day of the two-day refresher training on *_Routine Immunization and Demand Generation_* for Vital Vaccinators was successfully conducted at the RT Conference Hall, Hyderabad.

The training session was facilitated by Dr. Muhammad Faisal Qureshi, ADHO (Preventive), and Dr. Zulfiqar, DFP for EPI Hyderabad. The event was organized and managed by Mr.Aijaz Ali District Field Coordinator (DFC) from Vital Pakistan Trust.

The training was closely monitored by the *Respected District Health Officer (DHO) Hyderabad, Dr. Pir Ghulam Hussain, along with Dr. Omer, NEOC Monitor, and Dr. Raja Batra, Area Coordinator from WHO*.

participants included Mr. Shahid Zai, (DSV) Hyderabad, and Mr. Hussain Bux, DFC from IRD.

The primary focus of Day 1 was on all antigens included in the Routine Immunization schedule, with special emphasis on strengthening PEI/EPI synergy and improving zero-dose coverage.

A meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the District Health Officer Hyderabad, Dr. Pir Ghulam Hussain, with the Deputy Coordinator NSTOP National EOC Dr. Mumtaz Laghari, A.C WHO Hyderabad Dr. Raja Batra, and Dr. Omar Nisar Qureshi, Programme Specialist (Polio), to seek technical guidance for further strengthening the quality of the upcoming Polio NID campaign scheduled for February 2026.

The meeting was participated by DFP SIA, NSTOP Officer Hyderabad, CCO Hyderabad, and TMC Focal Persons.

Discussions centered on identifying and addressing operational gaps, enhancing field implementation, and adopting corrective measures to minimize deficiencies and reduce the likelihood of subsequent negative environmental samples.

Valuable technical recommendations were provided by the experts, which will be incorporated into the planning and ex*****on of the upcoming campaign to ensure improved overall program quality.
