Okay, so DPT stands for Doctor of Physiotherapy. It’s a five year degree program with one year of housejob.

••• CLINICAL PRACTICE/ WARDS :
3rd sy 5th year tk clinical practice hoti hai. Jisme hum wards lety hain, scrubs wag*ira pehn kar. Kon konse wards wo neechy btati hu.

3rd Year : Physiotherapy Clinic

4th Year : 1. Physiotherapy Clinic 2. General Medicine 3. Pulmonology 4. Cardiology 5. Neurology 6. Gynaecology and Obstetrics 7. Paediatrics.

5th Year : 1. Physiotherapy Clinic 2. Burn and Plastic Surgery 3. General Surgery 4. Chest Medicine 5. Ortho Surgery 6. Cardiovascular Surgery 7. Thoracic Surgery 8. Neuro Surgery 9. ICU 10. CCU.

••• MISCONCEPTION ABOUT DPT :
Also, I have to make this thing clear DPT isn’t all about exercises, it involves manual techniques, treatment with different equipments and drugs (apni domain me rehty hue we can prescribe mainly pain killers ya muscle relaxants) too. We can DIAGNOSE and TREAT INDEPENDENTLY.

DPT is very very vast and itself is a speciality. The thing is people don’t know. Also, humaray bhi 5 proff hotay hain, with OSPE and VIVA.

••• MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DPT :
Question No. 1 : Kya DPT walay "Dr." ki prefix istemal karsty hain or kya stethoscope ka istemal karty hain?

The answer is YES, they can use the prefix Dr. Or ye current HEC k notification k bad sy nhi, pehly sy hi humain allowed hai lol. But there’s a rule for us to use the prefix "Dr." i-e If we use the prefix Dr. we have to use the suffix PT too. For Example: "Dr. SIKANDAR, PT." Or ye rule universally follow kia jata hai.

As far as the stethoscope is concerned. The answer is Yes, humari physical therapy kit ka hissa hai steth and our practice is incomplete without it. Agr ap kahi b search karlain Physiotherapy Kit, usme apko aik steth zror dikhay ga. 🙂

Question No. 2 : Kya DPT walon k liye jobs hoti hain?

The answer is YES. Bilkul hoti hain. Government level par job milna is tough. Apka Clinical acha hona chahiye baki zror hoti hain. Or ye jo log rola dalty hain. Ye wo hotay hain jinki clinical skills zero hoti hain. Government Medical College me DPT k students ki selection aik proper aggregate k teht hoti hai or unko bht acha clinical exposure milta hai, Govt. Medical Colleges k affiliated hospitals me patients ki saturation bhi kafi hoti hai, jis waja sy in logo ki clinical skills bht achi hoti hain.
Isky ilawa private medical colleges jo UHS,KMU k under hain unki b selection aik proper aggregate k oper hoti hai or unko b clinical exposure milta hai.
Baki counsil na hony ki waja sy jo UOL or UMT etc etc jaisi universities DPT karwati hai, inki selection merit par ni ye sirf pesy k oper kisi ko b rakh leti hain or bachon ko wo clinical exposure ni milta. Semester based ye log parhaty hain, wahan to bacha ro peet kar pass karleta hai magr na hi wo itnay capable hotay hain k ye sb parh bhi sakain. Or in idaron k lakhon graduates field me aa kar hum logo ko bhi badnam karty hain or at the end yehi rona rotay hain.

Jis din independent counsil bn g*i, usdin ye sb khtm hojayega. And inshaAllah, wo din door nhi. Kindly ap log admission dekh kar lain. Kisi UHS, KMU sy affiliated idaray me hi admission lain agr private kar rahay hain to.

Also, professional level pey koi discrimination nhi hoti hai. Ye sb apko bus groups ki had tk hi nazar ata hai. It is a prestigious profession indeed.
